The Greek olive called the Kalamata Olive has Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Properties! Olives contain phenolic compounds, which are natural antioxidants. Oleocanthal, one of the phenolic compounds of olive oil has strong anti-inflammatory properties. Studies have shown that a diet of regularly consuming olive oil and olives have reduced incidences of chronic inflammation. I personally LOVE them! I carry them around and munch on them as a quick snack! Hint: I quickly cut them in half before I put them in my bag as sometimes you get a pit and you definitely do not want to bite down on those!
